PS I went to my LYS today and found this yarn called Dream in Color Yarn, and of course I got the beautiful sockweight one that was the exact color (Gothic Rose),that is shown in the photo on their website. Its hard to photograph because its dark. They also introduced me to a some new circ's that theyre carrying called HiyaHiya Needles! Im tellin ya these kats are going to put addis out of business! Theyre lighter and feel the same...it was a trip!

Ok well at least until the middle of August!hahah So I made it through my first graduate class with FLYING COLORS!! Hint my friends, GRADUATE SCHOOL IS EASIER THEN UNDERGRAD!!! Why they dont tell us these things I do not know! So with that bit of lovliness said...

I got an early start, last weekend I went and hung out with my favorite girl thang Joye, and we had a blast just hangin' out at this tiddy little pad tucked away in a corner of Appletown, Wisconsonian (Appleton, Wisconsin).

Joye thought we were at a gay bar at first cuz the place was like a dued ranch and they were playing disco(which we both love) or something comparable at first...Oh and they had this in the bathroom! Yes they were everywhere, she has more then I do actully but this was nearly the worst one right down to the veins!!!! hahaah

Oh I also got to see my fairly goth son for the first time his name is Xander and he has my most favorite color of hair in the world...RED...

And the topper on this great weekend filled with lots of rain from the goddess to replenish this wonderful earth ended with a trip to Don Smiths for Yarn for the ladies and Hershners, who is having their annual sale starting this weekend! I seriously need to join a SP exchange, AND get more storage AND get back to knitting!!

That woman sent me 16 bloody balls of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Chunky,two skeins of soy silk, The book that a fantastic book called Yarn Play by Lisa Sobahana Mason (whom I completely adore), and a Lantern moon Black Sheep tape measure, (that means I can give the grubby white one thats about to lose its head to my kid! EOOOOWWW)and a wonderful card.
Rachel I love you with my whole heart,boy did this package just pick me straight up out of the shit pound I was floating in last night!! I love you angel! Thank you for being part of my life!!

In other news that doesnt even compare to this is some of the yarn I got about a month ago at The Knitting Room. Again Miss Rachel told me about some yarn that I had to try called Frog Tree so of course I did! I got four skeins of Alpacha for 6.45 a skein and four of merino for 6.35 a skein! Does the woman know her yarn or what?

So now this is what my stash looks like and I dont think I can fit anymore in there... I think im going to have to join an exchange so I can buy more guilt free or more storage bins?? hahaha

Boy oh boy what a way to snap a girl out of her funk,Im still struggling to figure out how Stephanie looks so damn good with all the knitting she does! Have a great rest of the day and weekend all KNIT ON!

Strange oh so very strange! This is a shot from a McNair Scholoar Award banquest regarding school stuff and me whincing from the absolute horror of taking a forced photo! Say cheese,no instead I thought that id lift my sholders and make like a turtle! Nuff of that stuff! And then theres a shot of Chancellor Don Betz and myself all bright (Vomit) and goofy graduating!! hahahah

Sorry Ive been gone friends, Ive just been slammed with all of that but now I have one whole week to do nothing but knit and play video games!! Sev' was slammed with school as well and Lavey! Next stop Graduate School for School Psychology but thats not for a whole week and Im going to have a lot of time between this class and my last class in August so I hope to reconnect with all of you that I have missed so much!! Is everyone enjoy PRGE II I hear Sunne' is doing a bang up joby job? Commending you dolly, you rock!
So I have lots of yarn porn to share but my little demon seeds broke my digital camera and I dont have a card for my camcorder so I a tad S.O.L. at the moment!!

AGAIN! The almighty Herschners had a half off of their sale corner, and some of the stuff, like the butterfly cotton yarn was marked down to 2.75 a skein!! WHAT KIND OF MADNESS IS THAT?!!!! So yeah I finally got that navy blue that ive been wanting along with their last skein of red and Tay' wanted that that cool voodoo for a shrug! I swear she rocks! The pink is of course for evie, that other pack in the pack is for some multi colored over the knee socks (with old man garters of course). Last I got some snuggly baby for ..49 a skein...all of which you see was a about 20 bucks! SEE WHY I NEED TO BEE IN A GIFT EXCHANGE?! hahah

I cant wait till mid june I will have the ENTIRE summer off to play and Rachel said she will come and go yarn hoin with me!! What a blast well have! Speak of Rachel check out her butt in them dickies! How cool is she!? Oh wait its too dark! Oh well at least you can tell its her and shes wearing dickies ! hahah

Im sorry ive been gone for so long! School is killin me this semester! Rachel's (I would post a link but I have no idea what her new email is) Steph said I needed to post something because shes in school and she has been doin her thang so I needed to also.

So here goes, when Im not studying Im spending my time with these two little lovies (Oh thats my favorite color of malabrigo! see there everything really is about yearn):

My oldest tried out for a part in the community play Rupunzel and actully got a part as a lady of the court,so were very proud of her! SHES SUCH A BLESSING!

I was in Stevens Point with the youngests daughters grandmother and I got some yearn at a little country outlet store called Don Smiths, it quite something and also went to Hershners and this is what I got:

That brown and white stuff is a little thing called CaraMia from this brand TLC. Ive nver used their stuff before but its an Acrylic( I KNOW DONT SAY A WORD! AT LEAST NOT UNTIL YOU HEAR WHAT ELSE IS IN IT) Nylon, Rayon, and Angora mix for 1.29 and it has 175yd/160m~! There is also this other stuff they told me about it at Hershners and said it was their best selling sock yearn its that Moda Dea Sassy Stripes. Its very bizarre its a self striping ACRYLIC Yearn? Now tell me I was not aware that you could make socks with Acrylic! But its black and white and a bit soft so I had to get it plus it was cheap and has 164 yds/150M. See why I had to get it~! The other is butterfly cotton on sale for 3 bucks a skein so I had to grab a few, even though it is a bit brightly for me! I wish I had time for a secret pal exchange (Punk Rock Gift Exchange) :( Hopefully suomeone will do it this summer also?

Last Sinday was this amazing little diddy at MOA(Mall of America) called Knit out 2007 and they had everyone from Lilly Chin to Bobby Matella is that how its spelled? Joye was up visiting so I went by myself on the second day and guess who I got the privalege of meeting? The illustrious Vickie Howell from Knitty gritty! She is about 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times more adorable in person! She had on these hot pink dickies and black Stellto platform boots! What a goddess! I got a photo on my phone but it looks like crap! Kinda like in a scrary movie when the photo blurs when someones about to die or theres a ghost..yeah exactly like that hahah

So today I picked the new Interweve up also and it made me miss all of you even more!

I grabbed it after seeing that new Jim Carrey flick 23 that was good! I think people dont give him enough credit because he can act! Like in Man in the Moon or Eternal Sunshine of a spotless mind ey??! But Interweve is amazing as Im certain that you all know?

As for Stigmata, if you have switched over to the new blogger and want us to add you just contact Sev or I and well do it to it...I just really am not too hip on being forced to join with a Gmail account, even though I have one...its strange,and Rachel said I need to get out of the Dark Ages! hahaha

Shes quite cool! This only the first hit(the outline) but shes gorgeous to me! She has a pick in her hair that has a two thumb fist (Hunter S. Thompson), and smoking gun. I was going to change the gun to smoking RED hot knitting needles and a ball but im not so sure its going to look too hot, what say ye?!!! I was wondering if I should have in smoking bullet holes that is knitting related? Any and all help would be fantastic! Grati all!

Its my beautiful grapel colored yearn from elann now I have 10 skeins of it...sigh! Im am pleased! Ok so I went ahead and got those tripple zero's and double zero double points...I know Rach wanted to see how they looked close up! Theyre really not that teeny, im sure when I start k-nitting on them Ill feel different....At least I didnt do the quad' zeros, right?

She! gave me 8 balls of Rowan Calmer, two sets of Addi size one's and one set of size two's (I have an additional set)for socks,two squares of awesome chocolate,which have already been devoured, that fantastic Anime book is for ms. Taylor,which has strange knitting patterns inside, a kitty pen and hello kitty pad and barrettes for ms. Geneve,( yes shes walking around with writing inside of the pad just like you said, she knows its hello kitty by the way) and the most fantastic thing that has to be shot alone because of its brilliance....

This is what I got myself for my birthday:

It wasnt my fault, I was at my partners family wedding thingy. It was...very draining. So naturally, I went yearn shopping instead of doing home work at Herrschners. They have a sale corner and it was half off the half off. I got the last two balls of cotton angora in black. Then I got that butterfly cotton yearn for 3.36 a skein,yes, thats all not 10.00 at all! (It really paid to be patinet this time!) Thats for my SP, oops like she didnt already know that! haha, Cant you guys wait till you can tell your SP who you are? haha. Moving on that green stuff is called Katrina its from paton and it was like 1.43 a skein. Then thres that thread like sparkely stuff that I purchased in pink and white for the baby, and the multi pink brown and white,gag, for my eldest yuppie. That stuff was like a buck or less. And all of this for a mere 52 bucks! And then they were evil enough to tell me that they were having one of their wharehouse sales from Oct 11-15! Theyre really insane! Yearn for dirt!

I been writing with Sev' about hair coloring. And I dont know how many of you know this but ive got dreads that I used to dye burgundy, well I did it back in 2001 and have tried to dye it black repeatedly to no avail. It always bleeds out and is back to burgundy! grrrr... Help

So how the heck has everyone been? I finished that punch-o thankfully and she adored it! Its so nice that something that takes a few hours to make can make someone so happy! I think I just might die of boredom, Sev' Im feelin ya on this just knit thing! Its for my friends wedding shes all about the bat and she loved one that I have so its time for her to have her own for her daugthers one day, now that ive written that shell have sons.

Ive still got your box of Yearn sitting here waiting to be knit by you my darling O'Kittie,now if I could just make it to the post office so you can play with it! ggggrrrr...Id take photos for you but then Id have to open that damn box and spoil the spoils! Oh lust!

In other news, I have had the best flicks to watch while im knitting lately! All week its been Joseph the stallion Cotton and Mr. O'Welles. Tonight it seems to be Bela Lugosi and Mr Karloff. Murders in the Rue Morgue is on right now and after this, its the Devil Bat and then The body Snatcher, then back to the lovely Mr Lugosi in one of my favorites Scared to Death!! I love Turner Classic movies, especially right when the talkies came out because the actors are equally as dramatic as in the silent films!!! Up allll night, with the Crows and Kitties! aka Black Crow and Obsidian Kitten!!

PS Rachael Im so glad that you dont have to move!

Movies!....I was up till 2:30a knitting and watching Alfred Hitcock flicks... and now Im home catching up on blogging,then back to doing some hitchcock and then more knitting da be-bes dress! Alas she is gone so I can not take the final measurments for the top part of her dress, so by default I will have to start knitting something else! (sighs, guilt free! I can start another project hoohooo!)

Ive also been having a time of things shopping for yearn with my partners mother on Montag who swore she wouldnt buy anymore only to buy more then I did from three of my favorite yarn stores! I did good I only bought these Rowan Cotton Angora's and they were on sale:

Lani and the girls over at Punk Rock Knit Girls were talking about arm warmers and these are a pair that I maid awhile ago, actully ive made a few, and these are my fav's, with the seam and all! Im embarrassed because its a Lion Brand pattern, but I REAAAALLLLLLYYYYY like them.

So how the heck is everyone's summer goin? I had the incredible privilege of seeing the Body World Exhibit this week from Gunther Van Hagen and its absolutely brilliant! If your not squeamish and enjoy anatomy, you will be entranced by this exhibit. Dr. Van Hagen is pretty famous and invented an Incredible way of preserving the body called Plastionics. I know that it may sound a bit morbid, but its absolutely fascinating! I think the reason that I wasn't disturbed at all by his exhibit is because the bodies actually looked like plastic! So if it comes through your city you should really give it a go!

Back to knitting stuff!

Rach and I are getting prit-tty revved up for the gift exchange and it seems like you kittens are as well? I absolutely have had the best round with SP8 as all of you have seen with the incredibly thoughtful gifts from my Secret Pally, who is nothing short of wonder woman,so wonderful that I have requested that she be the BEST SECRET PALLY this round! But I have to confess that I really am excited to start this new one as well? August first is next week, so keep your eyes peeled for the info! Have a great weekend all!

Yes I took my last test of the summer today and FLIPPIN FAILED IT! grrrr... I swear I think Im just burnt out or something because the test wasnt that bad!? And its awful cuz I had a chance to write down all of the correct answers and didnt because I just couldnt cheat, everyones keeps asking me if im crazy and telling me that I shouldve but I could never live with myself, hence my gpa will now suffer and I will have to take the hit of a C as well! Oh well!...

In other news!

This is all the knitting Ive been able to accomplish in the last few weeks on eves dress!

Its turning out the way I wanted it to so im pretty happy with it!
I truly tried to start another project but I felt so bloddy guilty, and then when I had a look at Lani's fantastic Ballet Tank and yesterday I saw the slutty baby top Rachel as her husband and I call it, for her baby and its just not slutty at all on her!

Ive also got the most fantastic Secret Pally and discovered that she and I have so much in common but are different enough and found out that shes getting her Masters next week! Which she so very much deserves!!
So I guess a lower GPA wont be the death of me ey?

K so what do all of you think about starting a new gift exchange? Rachael and I have been discussing it and thought that since we have been having so much fun with Secret Pal exchanges, that it would be fun to have a gift exchange with people that have the same interests? I have so many allergies that I do prefer alpaca and have found out that I can use a few types of merino wool Malabrigo yarn because of the way its treated and because of its softness, and just learned two weeks ago that I can use KPM after it is washed a few times as well! I am very allergic to mohair but can use alpaca, angora, and casmere just fine. I have recently discovered that I have a very hard time with cottons also it seems to be rough on my hands? Not sure why maybe its just not soft enough for this aging princess? hahah... I guess this makes me a yarn snob doesnt it?

What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
Anything scratchy I have very sensitive skin and am allergic to wool, with the exception of some merinos, cant do mohair at all :(

I think that people should realize how serious k-nitting is to one. I was busy busy busy, did the bachlorette party, went with E to get her hair done, visted friends ate stayed up till 4a this morning being the designated driver and at every turn I had at least 1 minute to myself, so I would knit. I dont think people get it, they laugh, and tease and wonder what the frewl is up with that chick? Or wow you really are old....but one thing for certain is that I see that they realize,after all is said and done, how important knitting is to me. A few of them even asked me if I would mind showing them sometime!

So my advise to anyone that is hesitant about k-nitting in public is to just do it! its all about you! And what doesnt break your needles makes you knit faster ;)

Heres where Ill put all those circ's! My friend Ellenore made the red needle case on the right for cheap! She also makes stitch holders,etc. !

On the left are my straights, its where I put my very lovely Lantern Moon Needles and a pair of beautiful Susan Bates that I had to have, only because they are red and black but they really do work nicely. Id really like to get some Mango Moon needles to compliment my other needles.
