SP8 Questionaire

What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?

I have so many allergies that I do prefer alpaca and have found out that I can use a few types of merino wool Malabrigo yarn because of the way its treated and because of its softness, and just learned two weeks ago that I can use KPM after it is washed a few times as well! I am very allergic to mohair but can use alpaca, angora, and casmere just fine. I have recently discovered that I have a very hard time with cottons also it seems to be rough on my hands? Not sure why maybe its just not soft enough for this aging princess? hahah... I guess this makes me a yarn snob doesnt it?

What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
Anything scratchy I have very sensitive skin and am allergic to wool, with the exception of some merinos, cant do mohair at all :(

What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
Needle holder cases

How long have you been knitting? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
Im intermediate, ive been k-nitting since christmas of 2004

Vanillia, or cocunut lime from bath and body

hard candy, astro pops i love them! jolly rachers, herseys carmel kisses, WHOPPERS! STOP ME!...

What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
I dont mind a bit of corcheting at times, no i dont spin

What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
I listen to gothic music. Yes to the mp3 thingy

What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand?
Colors: are straight up black and red. Bright colors and pink make my flesh crawl, theyre tools of the devil. I dont mind grey either. Holiday would have to be hallows eve without a doubt

What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
The fam consists of two incredible daughters, a partner, and a sassy little congo african grey that is 6 years old named Azrael.

kids clothes when i have time. Theyre quick

A skirt for my two yr old

Lantern moon, addis and Linden Hills bamboos!

Yes I have both

Self taught

How old is your oldest UFO?
I have none, pretty good right? Well actully the skirt im working on for the baby, two months. Its not my fault, its schools!

Halloween, everyday is halloween ya know...

Yarn books and very good looking men!

I want the first Interweave crochet mag,im dyin for it! And of course the happy hooker would be nice. Im looking at kniticisms, and the secret life of a knitter,Ive got her new one knitting rules! But am obsessed with getting her others. Her being S. Pearl-McPhee. Sharon G. recommended Sensational Knitted Socks which id love to try also
